The Etowah Valley Humane Society (EVHS) began in 1996, as an adoption outlet for Bartow County Animal Control. In October of 2006, EVHS opened the doors of the new Shelter located at: 36 Ladds Mountain Road, in Cartersville, Georgia. Though EVHS has a paid staff, we rely heavily on the efforts of volunteers. The business and affairs of the Society are managed by a Board of Directors, the members of which serve without compensation.
